BARBARA BAIKIE – PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

Barbara has extensive experience in people management, including in the Senior Executive Service. She has facilitated change management and cultural change in three different jurisdictions. She has lectured at University for six years and has coached at all levels, including career, life and work coaching.

Barbara’s areas of expertise are:

Barbara is a counsellor and certificated executive coach and a member of the International Coaching Federation. She is an HBDI certified practitioner and a Member of the Herrmann International Global Network. Barbara is the Past President of the Chamber of Women in Business, President of the Rotary Club of Hall and holds Bachelor and Master degrees, as well as a Graduate Certificate of Management. Barbara is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Philosophy.

JOANNA HOLT – PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

Joanna has many years of experience leading and managing large portfolios in complex strategic environments. She has presented in national forums and taught at two major universities. Joanna has worked extensively in health care, both in Australia and the UK, and more recently in public policy and health care reform. She has been the CEO of a number of organisations and Executive Director of a recent national commission. In addition, Joanna has successfully enhanced the reputation, membership and services provided by a number of not for profit organisations. Joanna is committed to fostering leadership potential, communication and teamwork in organisations and coaching to optimise performance.

She has expertise in:

She holds an Honours degree in Science, a Masters Degree in Health Planning and is currently finalising her studies in Executive Coaching with the Institute of Executive Coaching.

DR. PETER FLETCHER – PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

Peter has a particular interest in restoring health and well-being not only to people, but also to the environment. Peter is a Medical Practitioner with over thirty years of experience in providing excellent health care to his patients, both in Sydney and in Canberra. For over 27 years he has provided care for the people of Canberra in the Canberra After Hours Medical Locum Service (CALMS).

Peter’s areas of special interest are:

  • Medical wellbeing: for clinicians and patients
  • Generating positive attitudes: for better health outcomes
  • Healthy living: to encourage and empower people to take on an active life
  • Land regeneration

Peter has a Medical degree from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Applied Science from Charles Sturt University and is past President of the ACT Dressage Association.

DOLORES CUMMINS – PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

Passionate about personal and business development, Dolores facilitates management groups in creating new direction and change. Her work merges business acumen, academic perspectives and industry experience.

Dolores’s areas of expertise are:

  • Working with multilingual and multidisciplinary teams
  • Creating leadership and conflict management programs
  • Facilitating mergers
  • Governance reviews
  • Communications and team building
  • Strategic leadership and change management
  • Strategic human resource management.

Dolores holds a BA degree and a Masters in Applied Psychology. She is a qualified Master Practitioner of Neurolinguistics.
She is certified in conflict dynamic profiling and is an internationally accredited adult educator and group facilitator.

MICK SHADWICK – PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

Mick has extensive experience within the Australian Government (at the Senior Executive Service level), including in the Australian Treasury and the Department of Finance and Deregulation and at the Australian Embassies in Tokyo and Beijing. Mick has developed and run training courses at the Australian National University, including at the Masters level, and has consulted, taught and been involved in capacity building in Australia, China, Indonesia and East Timor.

Mick has a keen interest in sharing his knowledge on:

  • Awareness of cultural issues and differences
  • Inter-cultural communication
  • Capacity building
  • Knowledge of the Asian region; its issues and needs and the capacities of its people.

Mick has an Honours degree in Economics from Melbourne University and a Masters degree in commerce from the Australian National University. Mick is a member of Rotary International, the Economic Society of Australia and the National Institute of Governance.

DOMINIC STAUN – CONSULTANT

Dominic Staun is a professional management executive with 25 years experience at senior levels in major organisations in both the public and private 

Dominic most recent employer was the Australian Government Department of Finance and Deregulation. From 2000 to 2007, Dominic was the Chief Finance Officer, adding in 2001 the role of Chief Information Officer. From 2008 to 2011, Dominic was posted to Papua New Guinea under an AusAID program, as Deputy Secretary Strategy in the Department of Finance, with a particular focus on mentoring and support to build capacity across the PNG public service through the establishment and operation of effective audit committees and internal audit units.

Since returning to Canberra, Dominic has worked as an independent consultant, conducting professional development courses, undertaking Gateway reviews, and providing advice and assistance to a number of Australian Government departments in the areas of internal audit, risk management and business planning.

With extensive experience and understanding of Government policy and the public sector, Dominic has high order skills in:

  • cultural intelligence, mentoring and capacity building
  • strategic management, business planning and change management
  • governance, risk management and assurance
  • financial management and information technology
  • analytical reviews and problem solving.

Dominic has a Bachelor degree in Arts from Canberra University and an Honours Masters degree from the University of NSW.  Dominic is a Fellow of CPA Australia and a Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

ROSEMAREE LAURIE – CONSULTANT

Career History:

Rosemaree has 30 years experience in Human Resources in the tertiary sector and public service. Her extensive background in HR management has been at a senior level, including strategic HR, implementing and initiating change management processes and relationship management.  Rosemaree has experience in coaching at all levels including work and career coaching.

Areas of Expertise:

  • Extensive experience in Change Management and Strategic Planning
  • Proven record in workplace negotiations, including implementation of Industrial Instruments (e.g. Enterprise, Collective and Certified Agreements)
  • Outstanding ability to communicate with a wide range of people
  • Excellent coaching skills
  • Superior workplace relationship management

  • Rosemaree has extensive Generalist Human Resources experience including developing, enhancing and implementing policies, processes and systems.
  • Development and enhancement of equity and diversity and staff development programs.
  • Maintaining a consultative service for staff to meet the demands of changing working environments, including the provision of coaching.
  • Negotiating and implementing Industrial Instruments as part of Management’s Team since the early ‘90s.
  • Setting up the staff at the Alice Springs Hotel-Casino for its opening in 1981.
